SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Calming Corner in our Classrooms

This year, we are partnering with our campus counselor to ensure that every classroom in Cullen Elementary is fully equipped with an SEL calming corner.  

The calming corner serves as a dedicated space where students can take a break, process their emotions, and regain focus. By providing this resource, we equip our students with essential skills to manage stress and anxiety, ultimately fostering a positive learning environment.

The benefits of having a calming corner include improved emotional regulation, enhanced focus during lessons, and a greater sense of safety and belonging among students. These elements contribute to a more productive classroom atmosphere, allowing teachers to better support their students' educational needs.
